About Us

Woorijip (우리집, pronounced “Oo-ree-jip”) means “Our Home.”

Founded in 2000, Woorijip began with a simple idea: to share the comfort and warmth of Korean home cooking with the New York community. Inspired by the meals served around the family table, Woorijip was created as a place where people could enjoy fresh, authentic dishes made with care, every day.

“I wanted to share the food my children grew up eating at home – the dishes that brought our family joy, familiarity, and a sense of being cared for.”

Since opening its doors over two decades ago, Woorijip has shared the warmth of Korean home cooking with millions of New Yorkers and visitors from around the world, offering fresh meals prepared daily and ready to enjoy. It has become a place where guests can stop in, choose their favorites, and bring a taste of home into their busy day.

Today, Woorijip proudly remains 100% family-owned and operated, continuing to follow the same family recipes and traditions that have defined the brand from the very beginning. While much has evolved over the years, the heart of Woorijip remains the same: food made with care, meant to be shared.
